FreeImageConverter.net is designed with privacy-conscious image processing in mind. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the website and its tools.

1. Image and file processing

Many of our core image tools are designed to process files locally in your browser. When a tool uses local processing, your selected image is processed on your device and does not need to be uploaded to our server for that operation.

Because processing can differ by feature, please rely on the privacy information shown by the specific tool. Your original files remain under your control. When a tool creates a converted, resized, compressed, cropped, or otherwise processed copy, that copy is generated for your use.

2. What stays on your device

For tools that explicitly state that processing is local, the image-processing operation happens in your browser rather than through an image-upload service on our servers. This is intended to reduce unnecessary transfer of your image files.

3. Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand general website usage, such as page views, interactions, traffic sources, and which tools are used. Analytics may collect technical information such as browser, device, and approximate location information according to Google's policies. Google Consent Mode is used to communicate the current consent state. Analytics storage is initially denied until an applicable consent choice grants it.

4. Cookies and advertising

FreeImageConverter uses Google AdSense for advertising and Google Privacy & Messaging as its consent management solution for applicable European regulations. Google and participating advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies for advertising, measurement, frequency management, and personalization according to the consent state and applicable requirements.

FreeImageConverter also provides a site-wide privacy-choice dialog for optional analytics and advertising technologies. Users outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland can accept or reject those optional technologies through that dialog. Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland may be shown Google's European regulations consent message through Google's certified consent management platform and IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework.

5. Information you provide

We do not require an account for the basic image-processing workflow. If you contact us, information you voluntarily include in your message may be used to respond to your request and maintain the relevant correspondence.

6. Third-party services

Some website services, including Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Privacy & Messaging, contact-form processing, and externally hosted resources, are provided by third parties. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms. We do not sell your uploaded image files or use them for advertising.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the website and its services. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should avoid submitting confidential or highly sensitive information through public web forms.

8. Children's privacy

FreeImageConverter is a general-purpose website and is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.
